Telehandler & General Administrator

Our UK client is a fastest-growing telecommunications company providing businesses with everything they need for reliable and efficient communication, they’re on the lookout for a Telehandler & General Administrator to join their team

This is a hybrid role where you’ll not only be the first point of contact for incoming calls but also support the Managing Director and leadership team with administrative, calendar, and project coordination tasks. It’s the perfect fit for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and loves keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes

This is a remote position open to those living anywhere in South Africa.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Answer and manage inbound calls (approx. 42 per day), filter and route calls appropriately, and log support or billing tickets
  • Provide day-to-day administrative and clerical support to the Managing Director and Co-Founder
  • Manage calendars, schedule meetings, coordinate travel, and handle expense reports
  • Prepare and maintain reports, documents, and presentations for internal and external use
  • Take meeting minutes, follow up on outstanding actions, and track project milestones
  • Attend director meetings and identify areas for follow-up, decision-making, or resolution
  • Coordinate events, prepare agendas, and liaise across departments to move tasks forward
  • Represent the Managing Director professionally in communications and, where appropriate, make low-level decisions on their behalf
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information and internal communications
  • Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement and administrative efficiency
  • Support ad hoc projects or tasks assigned by senior leadership

Skills, Experience & Requirements

Required

  • Previous experience in a Personal Assistant, Executive Assistant, or administrative role is essential
  • Strong experience managing inbound calls and acting as a central communication point
  • Excellent spoken and written English, with a strong grasp of grammar and professional communication
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
  • Exceptionally organised, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks at once
  • Proactive problem-solver with strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Able to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Calm under pressure and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
  • Confident making minor decisions and exercising good judgment when needed
