Technical Line Engineer

As part of their ongoing growth, they are looking to hire a Technical Line Engineer to join their dynamic service desk team. This remote role offers the opportunity to work closely with UK-based customers and technical teams, playing a key part in delivering high-quality IT support and infrastructure solutions across a wide client base.

This is a remote position open to those living anywhere in South Africa.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Deliver 2nd and 3rd line technical support and resolve complex IT issues
  • Provide remote technical support
  • Manage support tickets via phone, email, and internal helpdesk system
  • Collaborate with Account Management on pre-sales technical design and planning
  • Deploy, configure, and maintain Microsoft Azure resources
  • Implement and support networking infrastructure: routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and Wi-Fi
  • Set up and manage mobile device management (MDM) platforms
  • Assist with the installation and implementation of IT infrastructure for new projects
  • Maintain technical documentation for internal and client use
  • Participate in the standard on-call support rota

Skills, Experience & Requirements:

  • At least 2 years’ experience in an IT support or similar role
  • Strong technical background with a solid understanding of networking and infrastructure
  • Experience working with Microsoft Azure environments
  • Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a high-performance team
  • Organised and able to handle pressure in a fast-paced support environment
