As part of their ongoing growth, they are looking to hire a Technical Line Engineer to join their dynamic service desk team. This remote role offers the opportunity to work closely with UK-based customers and technical teams, playing a key part in delivering high-quality IT support and infrastructure solutions across a wide client base.
This is a remote position open to those living anywhere in South Africa.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Deliver 2nd and 3rd line technical support and resolve complex IT issues
- Provide remote technical support
- Manage support tickets via phone, email, and internal helpdesk system
- Collaborate with Account Management on pre-sales technical design and planning
- Deploy, configure, and maintain Microsoft Azure resources
- Implement and support networking infrastructure: routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and Wi-Fi
- Set up and manage mobile device management (MDM) platforms
- Assist with the installation and implementation of IT infrastructure for new projects
- Maintain technical documentation for internal and client use
- Participate in the standard on-call support rota
Skills, Experience & Requirements:
- At least 2 years’ experience in an IT support or similar role
- Strong technical background with a solid understanding of networking and infrastructure
- Experience working with Microsoft Azure environments
- Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a high-performance team
- Organised and able to handle pressure in a fast-paced support environment
