Technical/Engineer Recruiter

Description

Our Client is seeking a Headhunter/Recruiter who will be responsible for identifying, sourcing, and qualifying candidates for mandates secured by the Business Development team. This role requires building and maintaining a strong talent pipeline, managing candidates throughout the recruitment process, and contributing to departmental meetings. The position also involves providing market data to support client management

This is a remote position open to those living anywhere in South Africa.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Identify, source, and qualify candidates for specialized roles in the Defence and Aerospace industries
  • Develop and maintain a pipeline of candidates for recurring positions
  • Manage candidates through the full recruitment lifecycle, ensuring an efficient and effective process
  • Participate in and contribute to regular departmental meetings
  • Provide market insights and data to assist client management teams

Key Performance Metrics:

  • Number of candidates sourced per week
  • Number of screenings conducted per week
  • Number of successful placements per month
  • Interview-to-hire ratio
  • Screen-to-interview ratio

Skills, Experience & Requirements

  • Strong understanding of the Defence and Aerospace sectors, including security clearance requirements
  • Proven experience in sourcing candidates for highly technical and niche roles, rather than high-volume hiring
  • Familiarity with various engineering domains and deep-tech recruitment
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and relate to technical candidates
