Our client is a Sales and Marketing Agency. They help their clients amplify their online presence, increase brand awareness, and drive meaningful engagement and conversions through strategic digital marketing initiatives. They are seeking a skilled and experienced Social Media Manager to join their team and lead social media strategy and execution. You will collaborate closely with internal teams and clients to create compelling content, manage social media channels, analyze performance metrics, and optimize campaigns to deliver measurable results and ROI.
This is a remote position open to those living anywhere in South Africa.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and implement social media strategies aligned with client goals and objectives.
- Identify target audiences, key platforms, and content themes to maximize reach and engagement.
- Create and curate high-quality, engaging content for social media posts, including text, images, videos, and graphics.
- Develop content calendars and schedules to ensure consistent and timely posting.
- Monitor social media channels for comments, messages, and mentions, and respond promptly to inquiries and feedback.
- Foster meaningful interactions with followers to build relationships and enhance brand loyalty.
- Manage and maintain active presence on key social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
- Optimize profiles for maximum visibility and engagement, including profile descriptions, cover photos, and profile pictures.
- Plan and execute paid social media advertising campaigns to increase reach, engagement, and conversions.
- Monitor ad performance, analyze results, and adjust strategies as needed to optimize campaign effectiveness.
- Track and analyze social media performance metrics, including reach, engagement, impressions, and conversion rates.
- Prepare regular reports and insights to inform decision-making and measure ROI.
- Work closely with internal teams and clients to understand their business objectives, target audience, and brand voice.
- Collaborate on content creation, campaign planning, and performance analysis to ensure alignment with client goals.
Skills, Experience & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Social Media Manager or similar role, preferably in a digital marketing agency setting.
- Strong portfolio showcasing successful social media campaigns and content across various platforms.
- In-depth knowledge of social media platforms, trends, best practices, and analytics tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling content tailored to specific audiences and platforms.
- Creative mindset with strong visual storytelling abilities and proficiency in graphic design and video editing tools.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data to drive strategic decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Experience with social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprout Social) and advertising platforms (e.g., Facebook Ads Manager, LinkedIn Ads, Google Ads) is preferred.
