Sales Development Representative


Our client is one of the leading fire safety companies in the UK, focusing on ensuring building compliance with industry regulations and protecting occupants’ lives. With a decade of experience, they have developed expertise in designing fire safety solutions to meet today’s complex building regulations. They are looking for a Sales Development Representative who will be responsible for generating leads, booking meetings, and sourcing opportunities for the business development managers. You will create and send proposals to clients, follow up on proposals, and nurture deals to commitment or closure with the support of business development managers. Utilizing SalesForce, Salesloft, and Zoom Info, you will run campaigns to generate leads and seek out opportunities within the existing client portfolio.

This is a remote position open to those living anywhere in South Africa.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead generation for business development managers, booking meetings, and sourcing opportunities
  • Creating proposals and sending them to clients
  • Following up on proposals and nurturing deals to commitment or closure
  • Running campaigns using SalesForce, Salesloft, and Zoom Info to generate leads and seek opportunities within existing client base
  • Managing the sales workflow from lead generation to meeting booked/opportunity for existing clients
  • Confirming meetings and following up on opportunities
  • Sending out quotes and following up on opportunities
  • Progressing deals related to small works & planned preventive maintenance (PPM), as well as projects
  • Closing deals successfully and handling lost deals
  • Identifying cross-sell and upsell opportunities
  • Managing renewal opportunities six months out
  • Optimizing existing client relationships to identify new opportunities
  • Supporting business development managers in achieving the annual sales target of £12M for 2025
  • Building and maintaining relationships with existing clients to secure repeat business

Skills, Experience & Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a sales development representative, ideally in a facilities management company or specialist contractor
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Experience with SalesForce and Salesloft
  • Familiarity with Qwilr (not essential, training can be provided)
  • Focused, hardworking, and willing to go the extra mile
  • Positive attitude with excellent communication skills, comfortable with client interactions via video calls
  • Proven track record in sales with a strong enthusiasm for the company’s vision and goals
