Description
Our client is looking for a Project Estimator to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing quotations, conducting material take-offs from drawings, and maintaining clear communication with customers. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently under time constraints.
This is a remote position open to those living anywhere in South Africa.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and send quotations via the CRM system.
- Perform material take-offs and quantify materials from drawings.
- Communicate with customers regarding quotes via email and phone.
- Update relevant deal information on the CRM and shared project files.
- Utilize Excel and other software to calculate material quantities.
Key Objectives:
- Respond to customer RFQs and queries within 24 hours unless otherwise specified.
- Maintain a high level of accuracy in estimating quantities.
- Ensure pricing and margin calculations align with company profit objectives while remaining competitive.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Preferably a background in a similar or related role, with experience in quantity take-offs and pricing.
- Proficiency in Excel is required. Experience with CAD software is advantageous but not mandatory.
- No specific qualifications are required for this role.
