People & Culture Advisor/Manager

This is a remote position open to those living anywhere in South Africa.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional HR support and advisory services to line managers, senior leaders, and employees
  • Own and coordinate operational HR processes including onboarding, contracts, payroll coordination, and leaver processing
  • Develop and improve UK-based HR policies and ensure consistent compliance
  • Manage the HiBob HRIS system, ensuring data accuracy and insight-driven decision-making
  • Oversee the full talent performance review cycle and improve the employee experience
  • Lead the end-to-end recruitment process, attracting top-tier talent across departments
  • Coordinate benefit and reward programmes to enhance employee wellbeing and retention
  • Run impactful induction and onboarding programmes that support fast ramp-up and cultural alignment
  • Support line leaders with first-line performance conversations and people-related matters
  • Provide data reporting and HR metrics to inform decision-making
  • Support continuous improvement by identifying and streamlining people processes

Skills, Experience & Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a People & Culture / HR generalist role, ideally in a high-growth or tech-driven environment
  • Excellent knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices
  • CIPD Level 5 qualification (or international equivalent) required
  • Experience using HR systems (preferably HiBob)
  • Strong Excel and reporting skills
  • High integrity, professionalism, and a people-first mindset
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills — able to influence and advise across seniority levels
  • Confident supporting performance and employee relations matters at a first-line level
  • Proven experience driving people initiatives that align with business strategy and goals
  • A self-starter who thrives in dynamic environments and enjoys building structure in growth settings
