Our UK-based client is a trusted and people-focused company specialising in the delivery of high-quality underfloor heating systems for new build commercial and residential projects of all sizes. They are looking for a New Business Development Executive to join their Pre-Contracts team, using a combination of research, networking, and targeted outreach to generate high-quality leads and feed the sales pipeline. This is a proactive, relationship-driven role where you will work closely with consultants, architects, and contractors to position the business as a preferred partner early in the project lifecycle.
This is a remote position open to those living anywhere in South Africa.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Research and identify qualified new business opportunities using planning portals, tender processes, social media, and networking.
- Build relationships with key decision-makers including M&E consultants, architects, developers, and contractors.
- Monitor industry planning portals (e.g., Glenigan, Robinson Thirsk) for relevant projects and engage early in the design/specification phase.
- Break down tenders to identify all bidding parties and create opportunities for company involvement.
- Offer tailored value-add services such as CPD sessions, site visits, or design input to strengthen relationships.
- Support mechanical consultants and architects with relevant information to generate leads.
- Maintain accurate lead tracking and sales opportunity data in the CRM system.
- Work to achieve agreed targets for qualified leads, sales opportunities, and gross profit.
Skills, Experience & Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year’s experience in a similar office-based role, ideally within the construction industry or B2B sales environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent research, analytical, and commercial awareness skills.
- Results-driven, self-motivated, and well-organised with a positive, team-oriented approach.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Experience in contract selling and CRM management would be an advantage.
