Our client is looking for a hands-on and proactive Digital Marketing Manager to join their team. As the Digital Marketing Manager, you will oversee the performance and growth of all digital sales channels, including our Shopify website, Amazon store, Etsy, and other third-party platforms. Your goal is to increase revenue, enhance customer engagement, and identify new market opportunities such as TikTok Shop. You will work closely with the founder and small team, playing a hands-on role in executing digital marketing strategies that drive growth. comfortable being very hands on, digging in and managing all aspects of this role. You need to be comfortable working on your own. This is a fantastic opportunity to really make this job your own. This is a remote position open to those living anywhere in South Africa.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee the performance, development, and optimisation of the Shopify website to enhance user experience and maximise sales
- Manage Amazon account, including keyword research, listing creation, and advertising management (training available if required)
- Implement and manage tools such as upsells, reviews, referral, and rewards programmes
- Identify and manage new e-commerce platforms to expand sales opportunities (e.g., TikTok Shop)
- Develop and execute PPC campaigns across Google, Meta (Facebook & Instagram), and other platforms to maximise ROI
- Create and implement a robust SEO strategy to drive organic traffic
- Manage and optimise listings, SEO, and ads on third-party platforms like Etsy and Notonthehighstreet.
- Develop and execute a content marketing strategy to increase brand awareness and sales
- Manage and grow the company’s Instagram and other social media channels
- Plan and produce engaging content that supports lead generation and enhances brand visibility
- Manage the company’s email marketing campaigns using Klaviyo (or similar), leveraging detailed segmentation to drive customer engagement, repeat purchases, and increased order frequency
- Nurture and grow the existing 16,000+ mailing list with personalised campaigns
- Use Google Analytics and other tools to monitor and report on the performance of all digital marketing activities
- Provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement
- Align all lead generation sources into a cohesive, long-term strategy that supports business growth
- Work closely with the inventory and orders manager to develop strategies for selling slow-moving stock
- Ensure the team adheres to brand guidelines
- Sales Growth: Increase customer base, order frequency, and average order value
- Conversion Metrics: Track and improve overall conversion rates across platforms
- Customer Retention & Acquisition: Monitor repeat purchase rates, lifetime value, and churn rate
- Marketing ROI: Optimise PPC and SEO performance to improve profitability
- Inventory Management: Develop strategies to sell slow-moving stock effectively
Skills, Experience & Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in performance marketing & e-commerce
- Proven expertise in PPC campaigns, SEO, content marketing, social media marketing, and email marketing
- Proficiency in Google Ads, Meta Ads, and A/B testing for campaign optimisation
- Experience managing and growing Shopify and Amazon stores
- Strong analytical skills with experience using Google Analytics
- Ability to develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies that align with business goals
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- High attention to detail and a results-driven approach
Desirable (but not essential):
- Experience with Amazon Ads & Helium 10
- Copywriting skills (for product listings, blog posts, and ad copy)
- Graphic design skills (Canva or similar)
- Experience with TikTok marketing and advertising
