Our client is one of the UK’s top-rated mortgage brokers, specializing in securing mortgage approvals for individuals who may have faced challenges elsewhere. They are looking for a Call Qualifier to join their team. The ideal candidate for this role is a driven and results-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment. They should be proactive and resilient, with the ability to handle rejection and maintain professionalism in all interactions. A background in sales or telesales , coupled with strong communication skills and mortgage knowledge, would make you well-suited for this position. Additionally, you should be detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously while adhering to strict SLAs and data privacy regulations.

This is a remote position open to those living anywhere in South Africa.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Contacting enquiries promptly and professionally within agreed SLAs.
  • Engaging with potential customers to understand their needs and qualify their interest in the product or service.
  • Utilizing available tools and criteria to effectively qualify enquiries.
  • Setting appointments for the sales team based on qualified leads and availability.
  • Inputting accurate and detailed information into the CRM system to maintain up-to-date records.
  • Adhering to company guidelines and procedures regarding data privacy and customer interaction.
  • Collaborating with the sales team to ensure a smooth handover of qualified leads.
  • Participating in ongoing training and development to enhance skills and knowledge of products/services.

Skills, Experience & Requirements

  • Previous experience in telesales or a similar role, with a proven track record of achieving targets.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport over the phone.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to handle objections and rejection professionally.
  • Proficiency in volume outbound calling techniques, including cold calling and warm leads.
  • Knowledge of mortgage products and financial services is preferred, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new information.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and data entry processes.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and results-driven attitude.
  • Resilience and the ability to maintain motivation in a high-pressure environment.
  • Emotional intelligence and the ability to remain composed and focused during challenging interactions.
  • CeMap qualification and any additional education or certifications in sales or related fields are advantageous.
